Wednesday 11 March: 16th European Day of Remembrance of Victims of Terrorism

On Wednesday 11 March, the European Commission will organise an event in Paris to mark the 16th European Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Terrorism. Like every year, this event brings together victims of terrorism, including people who have been targets of an attack and those who have lost a relative, as well as victims' associations, first responders, and European and Member States' representatives, to share their stories and experiences. This year, the event will take place under the theme “Growing stronger together”.
The European Day of Remembrance of Victims of Terrorism was established after the Madrid Bombings in 2004. Each year since 2005, the European Commission remembers on this date the victims of terrorist atrocities.
